Ben Venuti to Bella Napoli!

My name is Peppi and I would like to welcome you to my restaurant. I have been in the restaurant business for more than 30 years. I was born in Naples, Italy and I would like to tell you a little about my home and my inspiration.

Like the City of San Francisco, the City of Naples is located by a bay. Naples is the third largest city in Italy and it is built on many slopes and hills where the famous volcano Vesuvius can be seen. The history and personality of Naples can be felt and seen through the hallways of its many castles, such as 12th Century Castel dell'Ovo, 13th Century Castel Nuovo and the 12th Century Castel Sant Elmo. Naples is not only known for its history but it is also known for beautiful and breathtaking scenery. The Southside of Naples is where these unforgettable and magnificent sceneries like the village of Positano on Costa Amalfiatana, Sorrento and the Island of Capri, which are visited by tourists who find themselves wanting to go back.

Napoli is also known for its songs like O Sole Mio and Come Back to Sorrento as well as for its fine cuisine. Spaghetti alle Vongole (spaghetti with calms) and other shellfish dishes which are favorites for the people of Naples and tourists.

I can remember meeting my friends at the local bars and cafes. We would sit for hours and talk about soccer, politics, and our everyday experiences while sipping the finest espresso coffee in the world. I hope to bring a little of Napoli to you through my specialty dishes.
